Bots leave their disconnected leader
So I was happily playing the Frost Gate on Hard Mode. Yes, it's not that hard, but I came across a problem which highly annoyed me.
My internet provider decided to go to hell and I got disconnected various amounts of times. And I also had a hero on me.
What the bigger problem was was that I was the monk, and a had the monk hero...
I went bye bye, the group can't go on. Might I say that the disconnects were no shorter than 5 minutes of out time.
So, what do I want?
This is what I want:
Whenever a person is disconnected, all of his/her heroes and henchman follow the group leader, if the group leader is disconnected which I was at the time, the bots follow the next person in line.
What will this solve? This'll solve having to wait on the unfortunate people who got disconnected.
So if the player with say 3 heroes gets disconnected at a patrol where he's likely to get screw with his heroes, the heroes can follow the group leader out of there, then the group can resurrect the guy who got screwed later.
Say a battle drags on making your group leave your spot, the heroes will follow the group leader when their owner is disconnected.
Yeah.... that's my spiel.

Now, I may be wrong, and if I am, I apologize, but heroes do follow the party leader. The thing is, if you DC, you're still shown on the party list so your heroes stay w/ you because your character stays as well. However, if you fail to reconnect in the alotted 10min, your character ends up leaving the game. It is at that point that the "abandoned" heroes begin to follow the party leader. Like I said, I may be wrong, but this is what I've seen while playing.

Yeah that is what happens, however he is saying that when you arent connected heroes should follow the party leader until you reconnect, or are removed from the game.
I agree that this should happen, however it would be reasonably time consuming (imo) to implement and ANET can spend their time better.

I think he speak when you got the message " xxxx lose connection " but does not leave game. That true that in this condition the heroes will stay near the guys pinning the whole group.
Thought I don't thing it is really needed. It is god manner to wait for the disconnected guy anyway.

Nice suggestion. Only problem would be when the d/c-ed player returns to the game. His/her heroes would recognize their leader being returned and instantly charge back to that person. Would make them leeroy across half of the map if your unlucky.
Oh,

No offense, but all Anet does this days is see what new minipets to release or what skills to nerf. THAT is a waste of time.

I like this idea. It might need to be cleaned up a bit. As someone said when you reconnect the heros could leroy everything and get you killed. Maybe make them follow the leader until you return to party proximity. (shout range?)
~the rat~
though I think people should be kind enough to try and wait for you.
